liberty with this Colonial half dollar! This random date (1808-1838)
America's Colonial half-dollar is a capped bust type. John Reich
designed this capped head concept of Liberty. The obverse of the coin
features the capped head of Liberty facing left - the same style that
was used on all U.S. coin denominations for the next thirty years. The
reverse shows an eagle with a shield and arrows. Reich was the first
artist to consistently include the denomination on our gold and silver
coins. This coin is in very good or better condition. |
